Michel Malherbe studied Germanic philology (FUNDP, KULeuven) and International Politics (ULB). He was until recently Consul General of Belgium in Hong Kong. Prior to this he has been press advisor to the Royal Palace and assistant Foreign Affairs spokesperson, and has been posted to Zagreb (ECMM), Beijing, Singapore and Geneva (UN). Mr Malherbe has been spokesperson since 9 May 2011.
