Belgian Development Cooperation launches new identity
Belgian Development Cooperation has been working hard on reshaping its identity. In the end it opted resolutely in favour of a new, user-friendly website and two new logos: one for the Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGD) and one for Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC).
Website
DGD has launched a new trilingual website (Dutch, English and French) which can be consulted at www.dg-d.be
. The new DGD, part of the website of the FPS Foreign Affairs, which has also been given a thorough makeover, sets itself apart through its own character, colour (green) and content.
The new website is more user-friendly than its predecessor, has more attractive graphics and has more sections covering a wider range of topics. News features more prominently on it, but the information on subsidies, NGOs, awareness-raising, partners, statistics, evaluation, and such like is still available.
Logos
Belgian Development Cooperation has also developed two new logos: one for the Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGD) and one for Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC).

DGD’s logo is very simple and meant to denote the government’s solid commitment and involvement, reflecting the new dynamism that the Belgian government intends to inject into cooperation, working alongside its development aid agency BTC and other partners both in Belgium and elsewhere. BTC’s logo stands for partnership and global solidarity, symbolised by the slogan "Building a fair world".

Identity
The new identity was adopted as part Belgian Development Cooperation’s efforts to allocate 0.7% of the country’s GDP to development aid and deliver more effective, higher-quality aid. The global fight against poverty and inequality remains our priority.
