The Belgian consular posts are authorized to collect consular costs for their consular services (the issuance of identity cards, visas, certain deeds, etcetera).
You have to pay these consular costs in the local currency.
The fees and the current exchange rates are updated regularly and are on display in the waiting rooms of the consulates.
