Minister Reynders discusses the peace process in Colombia and the situation in Venezuela with his Colombian counterpart
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders met today in the Egmont Palace in Brussels his Colombian counterpart, Mrs Maria Holguín.
They discussed at length the implementation of the peace process initiated by President Santos. Different issues were addressed, among which the importance of transitional justice, the reintegration of the FARC, the stabilisation of the liberated areas and anti-drugs programmes.
The situation in Venezuela was also discussed. Both Ministers reiterated their concerns with the current situation and in particular the humanitarian situation in the country. Minister Reynders will continue to follow the developments in the region closely.
