Reaction of Minister Reynders after attack in Las Vegas

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders is shocked by the attack last night in the US city of Las Vegas. A lone attacker killed at least 50 people attending a music festival and injured hundreds of others, by shooting out of a hotel window.
The Minister’s thoughts are with the victims and their families and friends. Didier Reynders also expresses his condolences to the US government and people.

The Minister forcefully condemns the shooting and commends the security and emergency services’ quick reaction. Their actions have allowed further victims to be avoided. He repeats that Belgium will continue to commit internationally to the common fight against all forms of terrorism and violence.
At this point, there are no indications of Belgians among the victims.
