Besides adopting an integrated and comprehensive approach at the national level, Belgium engages constructively in the European and international cooperation on fighting terrorism and violent extremism leading to terrorism. The FPS Foreign Affairs and the network of Belgian diplomatic and consular missions abroad are closely involved in this process.

Belgium condemns all forms of terrorism, and ensures that international fight against terrorism fully respects human rights and international humanitarian law.
