Ngo-federatie, Acodev, Fiabel, the Special Evaluation Office and the Directorate-General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DGD) are pleased to invite you to the learning event on impact evaluations on the 19th of January 2023 from 9 am to 5 pm in Europe Room (Egmont Palace, Place du petit Sablon 8, Brussels). You can also follow the learning event remotely.
With a trajectory of five impact evaluations finalized, this learning event is organized in order to share thoughts, good practices and lessons learned with the sector of international solidarity sector. More specifically, the objective of this event is to share lessons learned from the impact evaluations, focusing on recommendations for future evaluations.
The morning session will focus on the thematic lessons of these evaluations. The afternoon session will be devoted to methodological learning on monitoring and evaluation. The three panel discussions with representatives of the organisations and evaluators will be complemented by a Q&A.
The presentations and panel discussions will be mainly in English and French. Simultaneous translation into English and French will be provided, both for participants on site and online. Participants can, however, ask questions in English, French or Dutch.

The five following impact evaluations were carried out:
- Gender-based support within trade unions in textile factories in Indonesia – IFSI-ISVI
- Women empowerment support through professional training in Morocco – APEFE
- Multidimensional support to highly vulnerable farmers in Rwanda – ADA
- Youth engagement to promote human rights – Solidagro, KIYO and Viva Salud
- Advocacy for climate justice in Belgium – implemented by a consortium of civil society organisations coordinated by CNCD – 11.11.11 and 11.11.11
