Belgian passport

You have lost your passport or it has been stolen?

Procedures differ depending on if you are in Belgium or abroad:

 
You are in Belgium

1. Call Doc-Stop to cancel your passport and protect yourself against any fraudulent use of your identity: 00800 2123 2123
    
2. Immediately report:

• the theft: to the police station where the loss or theft took place (or to the local police in your municipality) and to the passport service in your municipality;
• The loss: to the passport service in your municipality.

You are abroad

1. Call Doc-Stop to cancel your passport and protect yourself against any fraudulent use of your identity: +32 2 518 2123
    
2. Immediately report:

• the theft: to the local police (ask them for a statement confirming the theft) and to the Belgian consular post or the Belgian honorary consulate in the country you are visiting.
• the loss: to the Belgian consular post or the Belgian honorary consulate in the country you are visiting.

If you need a passport to return to Belgium, or your country of residence, contact the Belgian embassy or consulate in the country you are visiting. If there is not one, contact the embassy or consulate of another European country.
